When You Love an Angry Person

May 3, 2025 By lynnenamka Leave a Comment

People from all over the world write to me, mostly women but sometimes it is a man, asking about what they can do to help their family member, loved one or partner “control” his or her anger. Or how they can help “diffuse” their partner’s anger. They say that their partner is “such a good guy” and his only flaw is his “anger problem.” Or they feel sorry for their out-of-control child or abusive parent. The intention to help is good but it is misplaced as it enables the angry person to stay as he is. This article is my response to the letters I’ve received where one person wants to take responsibility for another person’s problem of anger.

I use the pronoun “he” in this article as research shows that men are more angry than women. The research shows that men are angrier than women. Women have structural differences in their brain that work with emotions, so that women can more easily inhibit the anger response. The higher testosterone level revs up in men and sets the stage for more aggression.

Introducing new Faculty Member, Lynne Namka, Ed. D. to the Conscious Clarity Center family!

Lynne Namka, Ed. D.Lynne Namka, Ed. D. is a Happy Psychologist in private practice in Tucson, AZ, and an occasional storyteller. Her last three books are about finding and keeping love: Love as a Fine Species of Madness – which is a tear-jerker; the metaphysical fairy tale, Castalia Ever After; and the hysterically funny, feminist fairy tale, The Loathsome Lady: The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnell. Collectively, these three books take a hard-eye look at the wrong kind of loving.

Bullying Epidemic

March 18, 2018 By Terry Swejkoski Leave a Comment

This morning, I read a story about a little nine-year-old girl that committed suicide due to the trauma of the current Bullying Epidemic in the world. The loss of this beautiful child’s life is so tragic, but equally tragic is that she experienced bullying in the first place.

Bullying Epidemic - Read, Bullies Need Help Too! - Lesson Plans for Bullies and Victims, Author - Lynne Namka, Ed. D.It is my hope that our societal misunderstanding of the increasing bullying epidemic be brought to the forefront of what is no longer acceptable. No child should ever experience bullying – period.

The only way to eradicate this current increasing bullying epidemic is to bring awareness to the fact that bullies are “created” by social influences and egoistic control dramas that perpetuate our culture.

There are many excellent books available which explain some of the dynamics  leading to this increasing bullying epidemic. One excellent resource into bringing light to understand this tragedy is “Bullies Need Help Too! – Lesson Plans for Helping Bullies and Their Victims” by author Lynne Namka, Ed. D. Please take a few moments to review this excellent book.

  • The Spiritual Significance of Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is far more than a day for flowers and breakfast in bed. It is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and honor the sacred bond between a mother and her child. Beyond the gestures of appreciation lies a profound spiritual significance that connects us to the universal essence of nurturing, selflessness, and unconditional love. […]

  • Spiritual Guide Awareness
“Can anyone be a Spiritual Guide?” is more of a statement than a question because we are all One, and each one of us channels spiritual messages to one another in the spiritual realm of reality. We are all teachers and students, as well. Spiritual guide awareness occurs when one consciously focuses on bringing the […]
  • Appropriate Boundaries for Healthy Relationships
An appropriate boundary is that invisible line that separates you from the rest of the world. Within your boundary is that personal space where you feel safe and secure. In healthy relationships, where neither person needs to control the other, both partners understand fairness and the other person’s needs. They grant each other the right […]
