Perpetual Light

June 20, 2025 By Terry Swejkoski 1 Comment

Today, I am creating an article that explains the meaning of perpetual light from a spiritual perspective, where perpetual light serves as the Source Energy, speaking to us. I draw on the teachings presented in the books “Consciously Live What You Feel” and “Consciously Embrace Your True Personality” for the material in the article. My focus for the article is on the concept of Being rather than doing. I refer to the proper alignment of the Four Body System, which is arranged in the following sequential order: Spiritual Body, Mental Body, Emotional Body, and Physical Body.

Perpetual Light: Source Energy and the Essence of Being

Perpetual light is not merely a poetic expression or an ancient spiritual metaphor. It is an eternal presence, the unyielding energy of Source that permeates all aspects of existence. More profoundly, it is a guiding force that speaks to the deepest facets of our Being, reminding us of our inherent connection to the universe. Through the wisdom of the Source Energy, as shared in Consciously Live What You Feel and Consciously Embrace Your True Personality, we are invited to understand perpetual light not as something we must achieve, but as the essence of who we already are.

The Nature of Perpetual Light

Perpetual light can be seen as the pure expression of Source Energy. It is a living, breathing current that flows within and around us, illuminating the path back to our true selves. This light does not demand action or effort; instead, it calls us to the art of Being. It reminds us to pause, to feel, and to reconnect with the truth that we are inherently whole. When we open ourselves to this energy, we no longer strive to “do” without purpose. Instead, we live authentically and move forward with grace, allowing our existence to unfold naturally.

Source Energy is always speaking to us, not in words but through emotions, intuition, and the quiet wisdom of the soul. The key is to listen—not with the mind, but with the entire Being. Perpetual light is not out there, somewhere beyond reach. It resides in the stillness of the present moment, waiting to be felt and embraced.

Honoring Memorial Day with Mindfulness and Gratitude

May 24, 2025 By Terry Swejkoski 1 Comment

Honoring Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend. It’s a day of profound significance, a time to remember and honor those who have served their country, especially those who have given their lives in service. Amid the ceremonies, parades, and family gatherings, this day offers a powerful opportunity to turn inward, reflect deeply, and connect with the values that unite us all—gratitude, mindfulness, and an appreciation for peace.

Drawing inspiration from Consciously Live What You Feel, we can explore how the principles of emotional awareness and mindful living can deepen our understanding of this solemn day while nurturing our inner peace.

Reflecting on Sacrifice with an Open Heart

At its core, Memorial Day asks us to pause and reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by countless individuals in pursuit of something greater than themselves. Their acts of courage remind us of the deep well of human strength and resilience.

Reflecting on their sacrifice starts with creating a quiet space within ourselves. Find a moment free of distractions. Sit in stillness, close your eyes, and allow yourself to feel the enormity of their offering. There’s no need to intellectualize or analyze; simply open your heart to the arising emotions. Whether you feel grief, gratitude, pride, or peace, honor those feelings as they come.

This practice of emotional presence, as highlighted in Consciously Live What You Feel, allows us to engage with life wholeheartedly. It’s through connecting with our emotions that we truly honor the sacrifices of others, not just by remembering them, but by allowing their legacy to touch and transform us.

Cultivating Gratitude for Freedom

Memorial Day reminds us of the freedoms we often take for granted. The ability to pursue our dreams, speak our minds, and gather with loved ones is not universal; it’s a privilege secured through sacrifice. Cultivating gratitude for these moments is a form of honoring those who made them possible.

To practice gratitude mindfully, consider writing a list of freedoms you cherish most. Reflect on how these freedoms shape your life and the opportunities they’ve provided. Pause between each item you write, feeling the warmth of appreciation in your heart.

Gratitude doesn’t stop at acknowledgment; it calls us to live more consciously. Ask yourself, “How can I use my freedom today to create more peace in the world?” Whether it’s practicing kindness, supporting community efforts, or simply being present with loved ones, living with intention is a profound way to express gratitude.

Finding Peace Through Remembrance

While Memorial Day brings us together as a nation, it’s also deeply personal. Each individual has a connection to those they honor, whether through family ties, friendships, or collective gratitude. Finding peace amidst this day of remembrance begins with accepting and honoring your feelings.

If you feel the heavy weight of loss, understand that grief is a reflection of love; it’s a natural and necessary part of the human experience. Create a sacred moment to connect with your emotions. Light a candle, visit a memorial, or sit quietly in nature. Allow yourself to be present with your feelings, wholly and without judgment.

Memorial Day is still a chance to engage in remembrance for those who don’t have a personal connection to someone who served. Take a moment to learn about a historical figure or service member. Read their story and reflect on the impact of their life. By remembering even one name, you participate in the shared act of keeping their legacy alive.

Transforming Remembrance into Action

While reflection is vital, Memorial Day also challenges us to take action. Living by the values of peace, unity, and compassion helps to honor the sacrifices of those who served.

Consider how you can contribute to creating a more peaceful world. This could mean volunteering for veterans’ organizations, promoting understanding through conversation, or simply practicing kindness toward those around you. Each small act contributes to a collective spirit of goodwill.

One powerful way to align with the principles of Consciously Live What You Feel is by spreading emotional awareness. Please encourage others to process and express their emotions, especially during significant and often somber days like Memorial Day. Listening to someone’s story or holding space for their grief can be a profound gift.

In 2001, I had the honor of joining Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) and Marianne Williamson, founder of The Peace Alliance, in a movement to create a cabinet-level position in our government, the U.S. Department of Peace. We visited Washington, DC, to lobby for the bill numerous times. A version of this bill was introduced in each session of Congress from 2001 to 2011, and talks continue to implement some version of it to this day. Please briefly visit The Peace Alliance website to understand what a Blueprint for Peace is about and how you may be able to provide influence for a peaceful world.

A Day for Connection and Community

Memorial Day is also a time to come together with loved ones. Shared moments of connection, whether over a meal or at a community event, remind us of the bonds that sustain us. Use these gatherings as an opportunity to foster meaningful conversations. Ask others how they’re feeling today. Share memories, reflections, and gratitude.

Mindful presence enriches these moments. Resist the urge to rush or multitask. Instead, savor the laughter, the stories, and even the silence. These are the moments where peace takes root, both within and between us.

Closing Reflections on Memorial Day

Honoring Memorial Day is a day of contrasts. It holds sorrow and joy, loss and gratitude, stillness and action. By approaching it mindfully and with emotional presence, we honor the sacrifices of the past while sowing seeds of hope for the future.

This year, take the time to reflect deeply, express gratitude, and live with intention. Whether attending a ceremony, spending time with family, or sitting quietly in nature, know that even your smallest remembrance adds to a collective spirit of peace and unity.

Through mindfulness and heartfelt connection, Memorial Day becomes a day of remembrance and celebration of the profound beauty of life and the shared responsibility we have to nurture and protect it.

The Role of Conscious Clarity in Life

July 30, 2024 By Terry Swejkoski Leave a Comment

Conscious Clarity is of the Utmost Importance in an Enlightened Life!

Ask yourself whether you live a life based on being fully conscious of your actions and aware of Being, or are you merely floating through life unconsciously,Consciously Live What You Feel influenced by outside influences?

Although the world’s mass consciousness is shifting to a higher state of awareness, how many people are still unaware of the awareness of Being?

If you are unsatisfied with your current life experience, does it not mean you must rise in consciousness to be what you desire?

Ponder these questions for the next week or so, and you may be amazed by your understanding. Before making any decisions, be fully conscious of the reasons for your choices.
