Build Strong Relationships with Children

The strength of relationships with our children today will become the foundation of humanity’s evolution; therefore, pay close attention to what they say, as they will surely be the leaders of tomorrow.

Today, many believe that connection with our children is based only upon parenting roles or teaching them what adults consider necessary skills and values to fit in with society. However, the underlying problem with that type of guidance is that it creates another version of us or a clone based on our own, sometimes minimal, beliefs. And sadly, many of those beliefs are rooted in fear-based illusions, manipulated as adults see the world. This fear-based dogma is primarily due to the collective years of negativity and violence we have been exposed to as humankind attempts to evolve beyond killing each other over control or, as insane as it is, religious beliefs in the name of God. A fear-based society like this is a typical egotistical way of living. It describes a lack of spiritual self-understanding.

Some would say our children are becoming desensitized to violence and look upon them as not valuing life. However, what do you expect when most television shows, movies, and games produced have violent or abusive situations as the core theme of the programming? In most cases, what is happening is the subconscious mind is programmed to accept violence and negativity as normal behavior. Therefore, the next time you feel your children are becoming desensitized to violence, ask yourself when you last sat down with them to discuss the reasons why people do what they do. If you open this form of discussion, you may be surprised to learn what children think about what is happening today.

Humankind has long since moved beyond the Industrial Age and deeply entrenched itself in the Information Age. We now have communication devices that allow immediate contact with anyone worldwide, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our children can directly speak their minds to anyone willing to listen. Therefore, if they are not talking to you, there is a good possibility they are opening up to someone else.

Children want and need to communicate with a sense of being heard. They need to express their creative thoughts and limitless visions without criticism. When did you last sit there and listen to your child’s words without interjecting your beliefs or fears into the conversation?

We live in a world where spiritual awareness transcends old religious paradigms, quickly moving into a new four-dimensional (spiritual) planet. Many old third-dimensional thought patterns are becoming extinct in the minds of our children. Transcending into a cosmic intelligence is especially true as the mass consciousness of the world increases in energy vibration. Our more aware children believe the true meaning of misinterpreted accounts is lost and replaced by the illusions of the religious leader’s limiting beliefs. Therefore, they question these translations more than ever, based on a new rooted reality of spiritual awareness.

Our responsibility is to open up a new communication channel with our children, a unique level based upon becoming better listeners and transcending the old ideology that the parent is always right merely because of past experiences.

In new age thought, the past does not equal the future. It only records the many mistakes made, which our children can correct based on a higher level of spiritual awareness in today’s world. Therefore, the next time your child has something they need to say, sit there, open your heart and prepare to be awed.

  • The Spiritual Significance of Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is far more than a day for flowers and breakfast in bed. It is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and honor the sacred bond between a mother and her child. Beyond the gestures of appreciation lies a profound spiritual significance that connects us to the universal essence of nurturing, selflessness, and unconditional love. […]

  • When You Love an Angry Person
People from all over the world write to me, mostly women but sometimes it is a man, asking about what they can do to help their family member, loved one or partner “control” his or her anger. Or how they can help “diffuse” their partner’s anger. They say that their partner is “such a good […]
  • Spiritual Guide Awareness
“Can anyone be a Spiritual Guide?” is more of a statement than a question because we are all One, and each one of us channels spiritual messages to one another in the spiritual realm of reality. We are all teachers and students, as well. Spiritual guide awareness occurs when one consciously focuses on bringing the […]
  • Appropriate Boundaries for Healthy Relationships
An appropriate boundary is that invisible line that separates you from the rest of the world. Within your boundary is that personal space where you feel safe and secure. In healthy relationships, where neither person needs to control the other, both partners understand fairness and the other person’s needs. They grant each other the right […]
